The last three months have seen a rise in many new businesses due to individuals having more time on their hands and deciding to finally make the leap into starting to work for themselves.

One such business is LF Memories which was opened in March by owners Levi and Rosie Hague.

Levi said: “It was more exciting than scary to open a business during the lockdown

Levi and Rosie Hague "We have always wanted to start a family business and thought now is the time to just do it."

“I have not been working and this is something to motivate me to get up off the sofa in front of the TV or Xbox.”

Levi has been part of the RAF for the last six years but has decided that now is the time to make the leap into starting his own business with his partner Rosie who works in sales.

LF Memories sells personalised jewellery and urns which can be engraved with quotes or names to remember loved ones.

The business was founded on the couple's personal experience with grief.

Rosie said: “I lost my father and brother to cancer and I also had cancer when I was 16.

“But it wasn’t until I lost someone last September that the idea to start this business came about.

“I was looking online to find something personalised or sentimental to remember them by but everything was at an extortionist price.

“Everyone has lost someone and we don’t think that there should be a financial barrier to these sorts of products.”

The couple says that they offer an affordable alternative in the hopes that people from lower incomes will have access to them.

"This isn't just a business," Levi continued

“It’s a passion for us and we want to make people happy in sad times.”

As the business has only been in operation for three months they are at the beginning of their journey but have already had orders from Spain, Belgium, Canada, and the USA.
